2nd Lt A R McDonald M C born 11th Nov 1870 was the son of Roderick Macdonald merchant & Sarah Grant of Leverburgh. He fought with the British Army in the Boer War and in 1916 he returned to Britain to fight in the First World War. He became a 2nd Lt in the Cameron Highlanders and won the Military Cross in February 1918. He went missing in action on 28th |Mar 1918.
